About the workshop
Develop and explore skills and techniques to capture the summer Provence light in oils and watercolours, using an impressionist approach, with a focus on the tonal sequence, colour mixing and expressive mark making. Experiment with creative improvisation during the painting process to move toward a less literal treatment to create a more emotive sense of place and atmosphere. In the studio, take the opportunity to expand your understanding of these versatile mediums with an in-depth look at the craft of painting.
